The bass are gonna be active today with the water temperature at 72°F and clear water clarity. I'm expecting a good topwater bite, especially during the low light periods. Since the conditions are solid, I'm giving you three different ways to work the Football Jig, as it's gonna be a key player today - we're talking about working it slow, burning it, and also using it for a finesse presentation.
⏰Best Times to Fish
Low light plus that rising pressure - they'll be feeding aggressive. Focus on working the Football Jig with a slow roll and targeting those shady areas.
The mid-morning period might be a bit slower, but you can still get some bites by working the Carolina Rig along the bottom. Focus on targeting areas with a lot of cover and using a natural-colored worm or lizard.
The evening bite should be good, especially with the temperature dropping. Try burning the Football Jig to cover more water and target those active fish.

Pro Tip
Don't be afraid to experiment with different retrieve speeds and actions. Sometimes, a subtle change in presentation can make all the difference in getting the bass to bite.
Where to Target
Hit those shady pockets along the bank, especially near any fallen timber or rocks. The bass tend to congregate in these areas, especially during the low light periods.
Avoid
Avoid fishing in areas with too much vegetation, as it can be difficult to work the lures effectively. Instead, focus on targeting areas with a mix of cover and open water.
Safety Warning
Be aware of the thunderstorm forecast for the afternoon and make sure to seek shelter if necessary. It's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to your safety on the water.
